"Apron Strings" baby quilt

I finished the binding on this baby quilt this weekend...this picture shows the clips holding the binding before I finished it. I used Moda 5 inch charm pack 'Apron Strings' for the squares and yardage of a coordinating stripe for the sashing and binding. The left over charms made a cute matching pillow. I have several other projects in process. I hope to make 1 or 2 bassinet sheets for the baby's bassinet, finish a bunny stitchery/pillow, and finish knitting a blanket for baby before she's born. I have lofty goals.
I am slowly adding to my favorite list of blogs. Right now I am totally smitten with Heather Bailey's fabric line 'Freshcut' by Free Spirit. I may spurge and get the whole fat quarter set. Not sure what I will use it for though...but fabric has to age and mature anyhow, so it wil be ok to leave it sit for a 'bit'.

A pincushion and a hat

I made this penny rug pin cushion from a pattern from Color Me Patterns by Shirley Stevenson. I believe they travel to quilt shows but may not have an online source. I am going to check into that.

I am hoping to get this quilt top quilted for our next baby due March 21st. I have it layered and ready to quilt but life keeps getting in the way. I have one other quilt to finish and put binding on before this one! I hope to get a picture of that uploaded soon.

Trying to get into the Spring spirit even with a foot and a half of snow on the ground. This table topper pattern is out of Fons and Porter magazine Mar/Apr 2006 I believe. It is very easy to make and fun to pick center motifs.
