Q.A.D. #12 Purple Hearts
This lovely thing was made while I was in dental school, so 11 years ago. I believe it is from a book Little Quilts All through the House. I just bought my Viking Lily 540 and wanted to try the buttonhole stitch. I did it but let me tell you, it isn't pretty...well not up close that is. AND the binding...oh here she goes again on the binding. I sewed it down and flipped it to the FRONT! so you can see ALL my stitches. Plus Shhh..don't tell anyone, but all the fabrics were from walmart...eek! Hey I was a poor student....feel sorry for me LOL.

I have the same pattern book and I made this quilt in pinks but of a smaller size. I did hand applique, then gave it to my dear friend for her birthday. I haven't done enough machine applique to be very good at it.
Nope, don't feel sorry for you at all. Empathize, recognize, even may have some similar types of things -- but sorry for you, nope. See -- yours actually looks good. You should see one of my first efforts.
