I was lucky enough to score a jelly roll and layer cake of Kate Spain's new fabric line Verna at sample spree. Once home...I immediately started a project with it.
Here's the first pincushion I made using English Paper Pieces....I love hand piecing...because I can do it through my lunch break...a sewing machine won't fit on my office desk (I checked).
Since finishing the pincushion I have made a table topper quilt top...and designed another 3-4 quilts in EQ 6 using the line. I really like this one and still don't know which prints are my favorite...can you have 40 favorites??

p.s. don't forget about my new challenge "One Pack Doll Quilt"...challenge yourself to paper piecing....there's a chance to win 2 jelly rolls ... just for you...

Cute pincushion and a yummy looking jelly roll.
So lucky to already have some Verna. I can't wait for it to arrive!
Vickie can we use any charm pack or the one you used?
I love little portable projects like that. Nice Jelly roll.
Vickie, thanks for the feature post and tweet ;) I'm so happy to see Verna take on a new life in the hands of your creative spirit. Can't wait to see the table topper! Keep on sewin'
I am twitterpated with Verna. It is the most diverse, and fabulous line of flowered fabric.
Cute, cute pincushion! And YES! 40 favorites is just fine!
Hi,
Love your blog. Your pin cushion is adorable. You might want to try Linda Franz' Inklingo for your hand piecing. She has a freebee for the Lemoyne Star on her site that will make hand piecing a wonderful pleasure.
