Well there were several of my blog followers that were interested in how my housekeeper created her toilet paper origami. I sat down and figured it out and here is the tutorial for those of you that REALLY want to beautify your 'tank'....LOL
Start with your Toilet paper roll like this...I tore off a few of the crinkled first sheets.
Tear off 1 square as shown. This will become your 'fan'.
Fold the square every 3/8 inch back and forth like an accordion. Crease as you fold.
Here you can see how the sqaure begins to fold into a 'strip'.
Find the center of your folded tp strip and pinch it together firmly. It will create a fan shape. Set aside.
Next unroll your tp roll with the paper rolling off the top as shown this is important.
Take the bottom square and fold the corners in to meet in the center.
This will form a point.
I suggest your point be sharp for a better look.
Then fold the point upward and crease firmly.
This part is tricky to explain and take pictures one handed!
You take the outer corners of the triangle and fold them under.
Make sure you crease firmly on the sides to help the paper maintain its form.
When you roll the paper back up you end up with a little pocket. Take your fan and pinch it together and place in the pocket.
Apparently my housekeeper has been doing this for awhile as hers look MUCH better than mine LOL. And for the record this took me about 2 minutes to fold while taking pictures. It's pretty simple and it really does give a nice look to plain old TP.
I hope you enjoyed this tutorial. IF you use it, blog it etc. let me know spunsugarquilt-designs at yahoo dot com.

I'm not sure which is better, fun tp or HAVING A HOUSEKEEPER. How in the world did I miss that before?
Who thought toilet paper could be so fun and pretty, lol.

Okay. My house cleaner doesn't do that. Next time he's here, I'm SOOOO showing him this post. LOL! I'm serious! I pay him enough. He can give me TP origami!
Soo cute! Can I hire your housekeeper??????
Thanks for the tut on the TP. I think that if I did that my family would think I have gone a little bonkers or just plain had too much time on my hands. So I think I am going to do it!
Thanks for the tutorial! It's very clever! As I have four bathrooms, you know what I'll be doing for the rest of the day:-)))
Going to save this tutorial for the next time we have "Special Guests"-----then they will know I have too much time on my hands when I should have been quilting. Betty Lou
What fun! I just did it (it took me a while to get that bottom turn under correct). I am now waiting for DH to discover it in the bathroom.
Thanks for sharing.
I never knew that toilet paper could look so good!
Who knew toilet paper could be so pretty? ;-)
Ok, I am super impressed, and it takes a lot for me to say sew....

Just love the tut...
You tear me up...please pass a tissue...blessings madame samm
