I have been debating on whether or not to try cotton linen....
I bit the bullet and bought Kona cotton linen from Jackie at Canton Village Quiltworks.
I chose Putty and Natural colorways and also snagged Kona in Ash.
I'm still looking for Kona in Coal colorway...I'm sure it's out there somewhere.I don't have a plan for it...but I want it or a Moda bella solid alternative.
I pre-washed the linen...which is totally against my religion but I did it anyway since it's linen.
I haven't sewn it yet but I did pair it up with Amy Butler "LOVE" fabrics that I bought from the Fat Quarter Shop. We'll see IF I can actually make myself cut into the LOVE fabric bundle???
It's Thursday and I am hoping for a productive sewing weekend...

So glad you like the linen blend. Doesn't it have a great feel after being washed? It looks great with all your new fabrics. I am sure you will have no problem cutting into them at all.
Yes, the linen looks great with the Love fabrics...I love those Amy Butler fabrics too!
Great color choices! I haven't picked up any linen...yet. ;-) Happy stitching!
Oooh Love will be gorgeous with the linen! You CAN cut into it -- maybe a little anethesia will be required though LOL!
I have been dying to try a quilt with linen! The Love fabrics look great paired with linen. Can't wait to see what you come up with!
Jennifer :)
Can't wait to see it all together! Have fun with it and your productive sewing weekend ahead.
I'm getting very fond of linen myself. I'm still kicking myself for not buying some lime when I saw it. Your fabrics together look luscious.
Are you looking for Kona Coal in cotton? I bought some at Hancocks of Paducah recently. I think it's still on sale.
Oh yeah...I would have a hard time cutting up that fabric!...Can't wait to see what you make next.
Have fun sewing.....:0)
Looks like you have all the ingredients for a great weekend Vickie!
I saw your pattern on the Fat Quarter Shop and wanted to say, CONGRATS! Looks so fun.
