Still Really Itching for Spring

Like many of you I have been itching for spring to arrive.
That the weather will stay 'nice' and play well for us.
In the spirit of Easter and spring coming I was tempted to make some fabric eggs. I pulled out some of my 1930's scraps and used Retro Mama's tutorial.  I have made 7 so far...I'd like to make more with Verna? I have to finish a quilt in Verna first and see what scraps I have left over..yeah it's for Moda Bakeshop.

Sometimes my eyes are too big for my stomach....
relate that to fabric...my stash is too big for my time LOL. I really want to finish this quilt in Verna.
I also have another Moda Bakeshop project that is soooo nearly complete.
I can not wait to show it. I simply love it. And I hope you will too.

It just dawned on me that today is National Quilting Day. Gosh...how could I have missed that? must be all the crazies going on at my house.
Hmm....well since I am not doing a quilt a long, sewing saturday or any of that...maybe I should have a giveaway.
How about a Botany Layer Cake??

1. Leave me a comment about what you'd like to see a tutorial of..or a pattern of.
2. Become a follower and leave me a separate comment so I know.
3. Follow me on Twitter and leave me a comment
**Note**
I updated my sidebar to show the link to my twitter!! Thanks for being patient.
4. Blog about my giveaway & comment to me the link so that I can check out your blog.
I am always looking for more blogging friends!
The only way I will be able to track the entries is through the comments this time so please leave a separate one for each thing :)
EDIT: I will choose the winner on Tuesday March 23, 2009!

♥Duff said...

Allow me to say that I wish your "finishes 2010" list was linked to the projects--I'd love to see them!
Also, I'd like to see the thinking before, during, and after the project. The Ziggy quilt was basically "here it is, there wasn't a lot of math, I think I'll do it again." I want to know--what were you thinking when you chose the colors? something like "well, I wanted to soften the other colors and adding grey did that." or whatever! As a newer quilter, what are the things that come naturally to you that I will need to learn? that's what I want to know! the only way for me to figure out what I don't know is to follow your thinking and identify what doesn't come naturally. maybe a quilt-a-long for beginners that incorporates fabric choices, your design, and step-by-step instructions?
My apologies if this is above and beyond what you were asking for! Maybe I should stick with "EASY!" :O)
♥Duff
