A favorite and a question.

I have been slowly sorting through my magazine stash. I happen to think that this is one of the best quilts on the cover of American Patchwork and Quilting.
It's by Piece O' Cake designs.
I really love it.
I don't know if I will ever make that quilt, but I have many years to decide.
Today was a super fun day - ah well I am kidding.
It was work related. I went to a dental meeting and learned many great things.
I have been offline much more than usual.
I am hoping to create a few projects in the 'unplugged-ish' time.
I mean, I will be online, just cut back A LOT.
My 600th post is coming up very soon.
Could mean a giveaway.
What do you like for a giveaway?
1. handmade item i.e purse or pillow
2. new precuts (Moda from me :))
3.a kit of somesort ( maybe cut on the Go! maybe not)
4. gift certificate from an online store
5. other ....name the "other"
I look forward to your comments.

  2. Yay! 600! That's a great achievement! Congratulations! ;)

I think for giveaways anything and everything is appreciated! But for me...my fav's are always the fabric giveaways. (probably because I can't afford to buy lot's of designer fabrics, so having a chance to win some is always exciting!) :)

Congrats on a wonderful blog...and have a great weekend.

  3. I'd prefer something made by you...or something cut on the Go that I wouldn't or couldn't do with my rotary cutter. Congrats on 600 posts!

  4. Something handmade is always so nice, but you choose what you prefer to do. We just enjoy visiting your blog and seeing what you've been up to.

  5. I say options 2, 3, or 4, wiht a little of something 1. Nothing major. I just know I can't buy fabrics now, I have no room to indulge so all my new stuff is from giveaways. I LOVE new fabrics, especially precuts (LOVE moda) and I love kits. There are some things I want that are quilting related, but not fabric too (new pins, hexagone papers etc). I know that doesn't help much, but I think a lot of quilters are in the same boat right now as we are gearing up for Christmas and still recovering from the hit of the recession.

  6. I say whatever is easiest for you. :) We all love giveaways. Doesn't matter what it is. LOL!

  7. Congratulations on the posts!
I like lots of things, so I enter contests, only if I really love it or something I would use. Precuts are nice for those of us, still wanting a Go, lol.

  11. WOW...600 posts is really quite a milestone. Any giveaway is a gift to us from you and I would feel funny picking one...BUT since you asked...go for the fabric!

  14. I tend to agree with most of the previous commenters: 1) Any giveaway is sweet, no matter what you choose to give - and we love your blog even without a giveaway! and 2) Fabric is always appreciated, as I am on a serious fabric diet and not buying anything new for myself these days! But seriously - whatever is easiest for you, or nothing at all - we'll still celebrate 600 posts with you!!

  15. Oh 600 is fantastic!!! Just that you thought about asking what we would like is nice. We follow your blog for the sharing and friendship, not the giveaways. (But contests are always fun!)

  16. Getting close to 600...Congratulations!!

Give aways are always fun. I think a kit cut from the Go would be fun especially for those who do not have a Go yet. Then they can see how great it is and add it to their wish list. Or better yet, go and buy one :)

  17. Wow...that is a lot of posts. I know on my giveaways, people always seem to go gaga over purse giveaways. I really like precuts too. I say with a giveaway, you just can't go wrong....can you?

  18. Hmmm, you really love that star quilt? I believe many, many years ago there were directions to make a similar star (except the floral applique) in only 15 minutes a day...top finished in one month...30 days! I had to try it, and it really does come together in that short time! The applique would add a few more days...or months...if you hand sew as fast as me! If interested...I'll try to find the source so you can track down the pattern.

Boy, do I have a STASH

who can resist picking them up and ALWAYS finding at least one article in each that is a keeper.
Try as I might, I can not resist.

  25. Congrats on 600 posts. WOW! All giveaways are fabulous but fabric giveaways are always a favorite!

  26. 600 post - way to go. I always prefer fabric, you can never have too much. A kit would be perfect, so would precut fabric. Really it is what you decide. You could use this as a chance to weed out ugly fabric. One of the best giveaways I ever won (at guild meeting) - was an for ugly 2 1/2 inch strips. She took several of her ugly fabrics and made up 4 sets and that was her giveaway. Just go with what feels right to you.

  31. Wow 600 - that is awesome! I just started my blog this year and am on my way to my first 100. As for the giveaway - anything you wanted to bless us with would be cool with me! I of course love fabric, I want to actually sew something cut with the Go! before I invest in one myself and If you made something that would be cool because it would be from you!

  36. I just bought a rather old feathered star quilt book just for inspiration. Doubt I will ever make one though. I like precuts or gift certificates best as giveaways, but who doesn't like a giveaway of any sort.
