Simple Pleasures block 7

I have been stitching here and there on Simple Pleasures. I just keep getting sidetracked with other projects, applecores, tisket baskets, little boos, fallish fabrics, fallish stitcheries and on and on.
I have decided that I am not going to this fall quilt market. It was a REALLY tough choice. Instead my parents are visiting from Iowa. It'll be my birthday weekend, Halloween and trick or treat with my kids. I think overall it was the best decision. But let me emphasize the REALLY HARD part. That's where all the new fabrics are released...and new books. Drat.
Anyhow, in the mean time I am hoping to show you what lil projects I have been whipping up to beef up my fallish decor.  Perhaps inspire you to create something for the season too.
Have a Happy Tuesday!

These embroidered blocks are so sweet! Charming, old-school, updated colors -- just a joy!

Love the kitty in the flowers.
I love seeing the photos of market, a lot of wonderful things, but it does seem hectic.

Such a darling stitchery! Love the kitty.

I look forward to seeing what fall things you're creating! As fall is my favorite season, I'll be sewing up some pretty things in my favorite colors.

There will be other markets to attend. I think its great that you will be doing family things...birthday, Halloween, etc.

Happy quilting!
Karen

For this design, I would totally make an attempt to hand stitch! Is it available somewhere? You've done a wonderfully adorable job!!

Oh, I have GOT to get that "Simple Pleasures" book. The only sewing I can do since having surgery is embroidery so I've been working embroidering some quilt blocks but those cute little bits are still 'speaking to me'. So cute! You're right though...when I can get back to my sewing machine (after 3 months + away from it) I will do more piecing than embroidery but it is nice to have something to busy my hands with when I'm not quilting too.

Glad you got to Spring Market, anyway, lots of great memories from there :)
