My sister makes these Russian Tea Cakes every year at Christmas time.
They are my weakness.

Do you remember what you received for gifts last year?
Now that's a conversation starter!
I asked my hubby that over breakfast a couple of days ago.
He didn't remember.
I remember what I received.
How about you?
How about you?
I probably remember more what I gave than what I received ... :o) Now you have me thinking :o) Thank you for the yummy cookie recipe. Love those and your recipe looks easier than the one I use. Will have to try it :)
ReplyDeleteThanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteI love, love, love Mexican wedding cakes. One of my alltime favorite cookies, especially at Christmas. Yumm. Thanks for the recipe.

ReplyDeleteI love these buttery little morsels no matter what you call them.
ReplyDeleteDay 3 - Thank you!
ReplyDeleteUmmm, last year's gifts. Maybe later in the day I can remember! hahaha! I'm sure it was quilt-y things like books...the family knows how to please me!
That is a good conversation starter! Helping people brush powdered sugar off their fronts is another!
ReplyDeleteRussian Tea Cakes, Snowballs, call them what you may. I call them delicious! I receive a Jeopardy Trivia calendar every year for Christmas and I love it!
ReplyDeleteYou are making me hungry! Thanks for sharing your recipes.
ReplyDeleteBTW-I remember what I got for Christmas last year!
XOXO,
Stefanie
Oh, your conversation starter can really stump some people! To this day, my sisters always buy me some type of doll (we're all in our 50s!) Thanks for sharing your recipe!
ReplyDeleteGreat recipe! I still do remember! Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteSome gifts I remember some I don't. Or I may remember the gift, but not if it was from last year or the year before. The recipe sounds yummy!
ReplyDeleteLove Russian Tea Cakes! I will have to try your sister's recipe.
ReplyDeleteLove these cookies! One of my favorites. Thanks for sharing the recipe with us.
ReplyDeleteWhat a great idea! It would be hard to remember what gifts were received a year ago, but it would fun to see who remembered!
ReplyDeleteI don't remember what I received, but, do remember giving my hubby a Wii! We love to bowl with it - gets us up and moving. I think these "Mexican Wedding Cookies" are the ones my daughter made for their wedding since her husband is from Mexico. They were really good! Haven't had them since, will make some for my SIL for Christmas as a surprise. Thanks for sharing. HUGS... and stitches
ReplyDeleteThanks for another great recipe.
ReplyDeleteGreat question! And I do remember; ok ~ mostly remember. :)
ReplyDeleteI don't usually make these cookies, but I love to eat them!
I love these cookies! We sometimes put a peanut m & m inside too!!
ReplyDeleteThank You for the hop I love it and love the recipes too!
ReplyDeleteI am so terrible about remembering my gifts...why is that? Anyway, I love Teacookies. Thanks for the recipe.

ReplyDeleteThank you for the great recipe! Another one added to the "make this one" list!!
ReplyDeleteMmmm....good. Loved your block yesterday. Especially, in orange. Thanks.
ReplyDeleteLOVE Russian Tea Cakes....worth all the powdered sugar messiness down your shirt...LOL!
ReplyDeleteChristmas & men....is it a genetic malfunction, or WHAT? At the risk of sounding sexist, I find most men just aren't "into" Christmas the same way women are. Would we even have a tree, if it weren't for my kids & me? Oh, boy...that doesn't sound very flattering, but it's the truth...LOL!

My mom used to make these every year. Thanks for the recipe. Last year I got books from my daughter and daughter-in-law. they organize pictures from the year and order the books from Snap fish or Shutterfly. It is a priceless gift.
ReplyDeleteThey look delicious. I gave my husband a book, I just asked him and he remembered!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteThose sounds terrific. I can't wait to try them. I got a gift certificate to the Local Quilt Shop. Can't think of anything better.
ReplyDeleteI received a Sony eReader and a quilt shop gift certificate for Christmas last year. Both were just what I wanted! Thank you for the recipe.
ReplyDeleteHave a wonderful day!

Russian Tea Cakes are the first cookie I make at Christmas time. Every year I wonder why I don't make some of these cookies more often. My best gift from last year was a baby bib and newborn outfit. I thought somebody lost ther mind until I realized they were telling me I was to be a Grandma again.
ReplyDeleteHmmm...think I'll ask my hubby the same question! ;-) Thanks for the recipe!
ReplyDeleteI remember what I received - a sweet Joanne's gift card!
ReplyDeleteThese are one of my favorite cookies. Thanks for sharing the recipe.
ReplyDeleteI remember what both I and my husband received last year. I remember most of what I gave other people, too. My husband doesn't remember any of it, which probably explains why he usually forgets to get me a present. LOL
ReplyDeleteRussian Tea Cakes are my favorite holiday cookie! Thanks for sharing your recipe!
ReplyDeleteThat's a great question! It puts into perspective how silly it is to spend all that money and worry about getting the right thing for everyone when no one remembers a year later.

ReplyDeleteThis would be a well received cookie in my family.
ReplyDeleteThanks for the great recipe. I do remember my gifts. One that we get every year and love is a calendar with a picture of our grandkids for each month.
ReplyDeleteMy favorite treats at the holidays!!
ReplyDeleteThanks for sharing!
My grandma always made these at Christmas time.....sweet memory!
ReplyDeleteI remember some. The worst was when I forgot a gift that I had given my sister! (Asked her where she got a particular item)
ReplyDeleteLast year was our first year of no job income. I remember the homemade gifts we shared..and the sweet gifts my children gave us..gift certificates to Wal-Mart for food and survival items. Boy did they come in handy. The grandchildren gave us homemade ornaments and handprints..I do believe it was one of the sweetest Christmas we had had.
