Words can not describe how excited I am to be part of the Moda Bake Shop book Fresh Fabric Treats.
There are 15 authors participating in the Progressive Dinner to introduce you to this new book.
I don't know about you, but I had to look up the definition of progressive dinner.
I didn't even know dinners like this existed.
I live in a small town and we have potlucks LOL.
After this virtual progressive dinner...I am itching to try a real one!

After this virtual progressive dinner...I am itching to try a real one!
Before I get off on too much of a tangent, let me introduce myself to new readers of my blog.
I'm Vickie.
I have been a sewer/crafter since I was 8 years old. I started with basic Barbie doll clothing and journeyed through cross stitch, crochet, miniatures, scrap booking, card making, cake decorating, knitting and quilting. I settled comfortably into quilting about 12 years ago while I was training to be a dentist. I have been a dentist for 10 years, married 11 years and have 2 lovely daughters. My time is little and precious as you can understand. I have always been searching for ways to streamline my quilting time. And that is where my love for Moda pre-cuts grew. I realized that sewing with pre-cut charm packs, jelly rolls etc. was a much quicker way to get right to a project. I enjoy all aspects of quilting, but make a part of it faster, easier and more enjoyable....I am there!
In addition to helping me sew more efficiently, I have found pre-cuts to really work well for my mother-in-law. Over the last 10 years she has had an increasingly more difficult time cutting fabric. She has had carpel tunnel surgery and the less cutting the better.
Pre-cuts are awesome for this!
They truly are.
With the right pattern she can just sit and sew.
I don't mean for this to sound like an infomercial.
I just really love/believe in jelly rolls and layer cakes.
Can you tell by the picture above?
Where else can you find such wonderful "sweets" without a chance of a cavity??
Oh, Come on, I HAD to put that in there.
{I promise that is the last dentist pun for this entire post}

I blog my creations and share tutorials to help all moms {and dads ;) } enjoy their quilting time more, the same way I do.

«Oldest ‹Older 201 – 400 of 1065 Newer› Newest»I love fat quarters-so many possibilities, from quilts to crafty things, even parts of outfits, they are so versatile! Can't wait to see the book!
Right now, I love jelly rolls. But I like fat quarters too.
Congrats on being featured in the book and sharing about yourself! I don't know how you find the time to come up with all your amazing projects! My fave pre-cut would have to be Fat Quarter Bundles! You can do so many things with them! Thanks for the chance! stephanie_guse@sympatico.ca
My favorite is layer cakes!
I love layer cakes mostly because I am totally into half square triangles, they are so versatile.
I love the fat quarters, lots of fun to use, next favourite would be the jelly rolls, I just love to look at them.
I love fat quarter bundles and jelly rolls :)
Jelly rolls are the best thing ever! I have used them and I am always amazed at how much I can do with them.
Thanks for the giveaway!

I hope to make my first quilt this year with my current favorite pre-cut - the fat quarter (bundle)! I think it will give me enough fabric to make the quilt size I want, and still have some fabric left over for another project! My curious mind wants to know why the fat eighth is your current favorite! Do tell!

I love charm packs because i'm a terrible cutter so these help a lot.
So far I've really liked is the charm squares. What fun! Thanks for the opportunity. cynthiamrutledge at aol dot com.
I love precut of all kinds but especially charm packs. My cutting and measuring sometimes leaves something to be desired so I like knowing that the cuts are precise. I have never used a jelly roll or honey bun and I want to...BADLY. That is one of my next purchases.
My favorite pre-cut is a charm pack - a cheap way to get the entire collection. Or a layer cake if I'm in love and splurging. :)
Thanks for the giveaway...my favorite pre-cut goes back and forth between fat quarters and jelly rolls....at least today :-)
I like charm packs:) An inexpensive way to have an entire collection to play with!
My favorite is fat quarters . . . I love the leftovers!
Congratulations on being included in the book and thanks for the chance to win!
I like all the pre cuts but if I have to chose it would be the jelly rolls.
I can't wait for the book to come out. It looks like a lot of great projects inside.
pam roever at yahoo dot com
I love the charm packs because they are not that expensive but you can still make something fabulous with them!
I really like the fat quarter bundles...more fun play time.
I love, love layer cakes! I have the option of sewing them up patchwork style and there's no cutting at all!
shelpowl(at)telus(dot)net
Congratulations on being included in this book! You must be so happy!
I can do so much with a fat quarter bundle but my favorite pre-cut has to be the layer cake as I can get so many charm packs out of it if I want. I do love charm packs but I always want more than one so that the layer cake can give me four times the number of charms! And then if I don't want to cut them up, I have a lot of other options.
I LOVE Jelly Rolls and I love that there are soo many patterns out there to use them and how could you resist displaying them on the cute cake stands in our craft rooms?!! ;)
Thanks for the chance! HUGS!
My favorite is the layer cake. You can cut it into 4 charm packs for small quilts or use the 10" square to make simple half square triangle quilts that show off the fabric line beautifully. Thanks for the chance to win!!
I love LayerCakes because I feel I get a big variety of fabrics, and a good sized piece of each! Easy to cut down to size if needed too! Thanks for the chance to win! Sarahmate79@yahoo.com
I love charm packs - they are the closest precut to "scraps". Years ago, I made my daughter a charm quilt. Every fabric is different and there are over 200 fabrics! Charm packs didn't exist back then...
Your bake shop projects are fabulous!
p.s. January 28 is my birthday. Just sayin'...
I love layer cakes and charm packs. They lend themselves to so many options. I'm not the best at cutting so they help tons!
edethrow at yahoo dot com
I am a huge fan of charm packs because you get the whole line and they are in cute little squares. So many possibilities! Just ordered a couple last week.
ascottherridge at gmail . com
My favorite is the fat quarter bundle! Next would be the jelly roll. I like fat quarters because I can make a beautiful coordinated quilt from it!
When I have the cash, I love a fat quarter bundle. When I don't, a charm pack feeds my addiction! :)
Elizabeth
esampson78 (at) gmail (dot) com
I have some pre-cuts and haven't just any yet I can't pin down the project I want to do with it. But I do love them, they put the whole line in there and in such a pretty way.
I <3 jelly rolls.
They are quick and easy to cut and sew together with other fabrics and make the process go quicker.
COngrats on the new book!
I like charm packs for stacked coins - so fast and east for a baby quilt. And I like jelly rolls - fast and easy for bigger quilts:) Thank you for the opportunity! Stacey
foppers@charter.net
I starting to like the layer cake as my favorite precut. I used to think you could do more with the charm squares, but have changed my mind. Love your blog!
I am on a charm pack/layer cake kick right now. I was previously all about the fat quarters, but I what I love about the charm packs/layer cakes is you can get a sample from the whole line to use in your quilt.
I go back and forth between fatquarter bundle and the jelly roll. I like the fatquarter bundle because it allows a larger quilt. The jelly roll looks so cute rolled up and makes a fun quilt.
Char S.
I love big blocks in quilts, so, although I haven't started quilting yet (I'm getting there, practicing sewing with smaller patchwork projects first), I think I'll love layer cakes!!!
I love charm squares best 'cos they're perfect when I'm looking for a project which is fast and simple!
Lately I have been using layer cakes as I can cut to the sizes that I need or just make large block quilts. Thanks for the chance to win.
I love charms squares! I just think they are the perfect size to make so many different things!
I'm partial to charm squares...the little bundles are so cute when arranged in a basket waiting to be used in a project. Jelly rolls come in a close second!

I love fat quarters! They're big enough to make some really cute projects without busting the bank. congratulations on being part of this (sure to be a big hit) book!
So far I've only used charm squares pre-cuts...and that was for a cute dress for my daughter. I'd like to try out a jelly roll and make a quilt.
I'm stuck on fat quarter sets. I love the fact that I can make quilts and bigger projects without wondering how to coordinate them.
virginiamae(at)gmail.com
Congrats on the book. Excited to see it!
I've only used charm packs so far, but would love to try others - I just love fabric!
I love fat quarter bundles, they give you the opportunity to cut larger shapes, and you have lots of leftovers for your next project...
Hi Vicki
Like you I started very young and always loved fabric and my favorites are FQ bundles because they have the right size for anything.
I LOVE layer cakes....YUMMY!!!!
Okay, I love fat quarter bundles because of all the scraps I'm left with but I am tempted by the jelly rolls that look so pretty with all the fabrics showing and swirled around. I have yet to try one.
I usually enjoy the fat quarter bundles, but am now loving the jelly rolls. But really they all sound delicious!
I love fat quarters but my favourite pre-cuts are jelly rolls! They are so versatile and you don't have to spend ages cutting up the fabric before you can start the fun part...sewing! x
www.mrsshilts.co.uk / emma.shilton@yahoo.co.uk
My current favorite is a jelly roll. I am using it for (one) of the projects I am working on. :)
teekayb29@gmail.com
I love charm packs as they allow me to play with an entire fabric line, to my hearts content, for a small amount of $'s. That "playing" allows me to decide if I want to invest is a fat quarter bundle or yardage. Additionally, charm packs are great for quick & easy projects.
My favorite is a layer cake, it's the first pre-cut I ever worked with, so I have a soft spot for it. However, I'm (very) slowly building up my stash with others.
I love Fat Quarters but when I thing of pre-cuts, I think of charm squares. I haven't tried the dessert rolls but I think they sound incredibly versatile. I can't wait to try them.
I'm just starting to learn to quilt so am pretty impressed with all the cuts!!
My favorite pre-cuts are charm squares, though jelly rolls are a very close second. Why charm squares? They can be used in so many different block patterns; quickly turned into HSTs; cut in half to make rectangles, etc. Waiting until May for the new book is going to be hard.
charm packs are my favorite. but im hoarding them....i love so many different patterns on the bakeshop that i truly cannot wait to get this book! it will give me a reason to start using my charm packs :)
I'm a fan of layer cakes. Smaller investment than fat quarters and there are so many things you can do with the bigger piece of fabric. Congrats on the new book!
my favorite precuts are Fat Quarter Bundles - cuz there is enough fabric to redo my mistakes ... but the precut that i BUY most often is charm packs cuz then i get to play with an entire fabric line and not go totally broke
Sounds like a fun giveaway. Please count me in!
Congrads on the wonderful book! I can't wait to get my copy.
Congrats on the book! It looks Fab!
I love Fat Quarters. So much to do with them... soo little time.
Thanks for the chance.
So far I haven't met a precut I didn't like LOL! I started addicted to Charm Squares but now I'm really loving Layer Cakes because they're even more versatile!
I've made a couple of charm pack quilts that were fun, but right now I think layer cakes are the best!
bsimone42@gmail.com
Lovely projects Vicki. I love 'em all
I'm a FQ-aholic. I like them because there is plenty of fabric and usually leftovers after the original project is made. Thanks for the chance to win.
my favorites today are fat quarters and jelly rolls.
I love jelly rolls best because they look so scrumptious. Great blog!
I love fat quarters- all that delicious fabric! But my budget usually {never} allows for that, so my pre-cut of choice? Charm packs- just enough goodness without breaking the bank! So much fun!
xoxo,
Amy
utahchemnrd@yahoo.com
I am just getting into precuts! I am old school for quilting ..... as in before rotary cutters and mats! I have always cut every square and triangle by hand with scissors! I have started to teach my daughter to sew and quilt and she latched on to the jelly rolls but I didn't know what to do with them! Then we found Moda! Yikes- a whole new world opened up for us! I love fat quarters and she likes jelly rolls but I am currently taking an interest in the layer cakes and charm squares because of time constraints...I can't believe the time savings given by precuts!
Oh nooo you forgot dinner!!! NP I got you covered!
Ratatouille
1 large eggplant, cubed
1/4 cup of olive oil
1 onion, thinly sliced
2 to 4 garilc cloves, crushed
4 small zucchini, chopped or 2 large zucchini, chopped
4 tomatoes, chopped or one meduim size can of diced tomatoes. Do not drain the can!
1/3 cup of fresh basil or dried
1/4 tsp of Salt and pepper or to taste
Parmesan cheese when served as much as you like.
Also long grain rice or instant rice cooked to your family size needs.
Serving size for this recipe is for 4 people
Salt the eggeplant, drain in a colander for 1 hour, and pat dry. Heat half of the olive oil in a large saucepan and briefly ssute the eggplant until brown, then add the onion and pepper. Next, add the garilc, zucchini, and tomatoes. Cook until a soft stew has formed, about 15 to 30 minutes.
Add the salt, pepper, and basil by stirring into the stew. Finally serve over rice and then sprinkle on the parmesan cheese.
This may seem like a time consuming dish to make but honestly it is not that bad to do. If you are a super busy person during the week this is a great weekend dish to make. Espically in the winter time!
Congrats Vickie on being published!
My favorite is the Fat Quarter bundle just because it gives me lots of each fabric to play with. My second favorite is the jelly roll. The 2.5" strips work for so many things and I can even use leftovers as scrappy binding.
Yippee! How exciting for you Vickie! Congrats! Can't wait to see the book! MY favorite precuts are charm packs...with my SAHM budget, they keep it real, yet I get to work with so many yummy fabrics! Thanks for the chance. AM
I've never used a fat 1/8th. I do love fat quarters, so I'm sure fat 1/8th are wonderful too.
mcheaston (at) yahoo (dot) com
Being REALLY new to quilting, I'm not actually sure .... fat quarters, maybe? At least I know what they are! Thanks so much for this chance!
I like fat quarters, because if the fabric is a large scale print you can see more of the pattern.
I'd have to say charms are my favorite. I can use them as is, combined with other pieces or cut them up and reinvent them. Pretty fun. nanasew at gmail dot com
Congratulations on the book! Fat quarters are my favorite pre-cuts. One can never have too many!
I really like charm packs, they are just so cute. Plus I haven't tried the others :) I have a jelly roll and honey bun waiting for me to get to them.
I love charm packs - haven't seen fat 1/8 bundles yet - I guess I need to look around.
I'm a fan of layer cakes at the moment. I'm doing a quilt along, and I've never used them before. I REALLY love charm packs though, they are perfect for making table runners.
My favorite is fat quarters, because they're so versatile. Congratulations on the book!
Hmm... Looks like my comment didn't "take". I'll try again. I like fat quarters because they have the most possibilities.
My favourite has to be jelly rolls - not that I've been brave enough to cut into mine yet! (They're way to expensive in Canada) I love strip piecing and using up every last scrap of fabric - there are so many cute patterns designed for 2.5" strips.
It's hard to pick a favorite pre-cut. I love layer cakes, charm packs and jelly rolls. But if forced to choose one, I guess it would be charm packs.
I have two favorite pre-cuts. I love charms packs because they are what I made my first quilt with so there is sentimental value there. My second is jelly rolls. I can use them in so many ways and if I do need to cut them it isn't much to cut.
kelawrence05 at gmail dot com
My favorite pre-cut at the moment is charm packs. They just seem to be the perfect size to use as-is, or only a cut or two more for easy options. Congrats on being published! :o)
Fat quarters are my FAV! So easy to pull out and throw together a yummy project! Can't wait to see the book. Simply Delish!!
i love me a fat quarter. i just like having lots of fabric.
My favorite pre-cut is fat quarters, with the close second being a layer cake. But I really like Jelly rolls too. Oh they are all good!
Congrats on the books
anitamz53@aol.com
I thought Jelly Rolls were my favorite Moda precut until I started making Schnibbles! Not the Charm Pack has won me over!
I love jelly rolls for sure! I love that I can sew them together and cut them apart and come up with a bunch of great patterns!
mysocksareyellow at hotmail dot com
Greetings from Northern Saskatchewan CANADA!
I love all pre-cuts! It is so hard to choose but I love fat quarters! You can do so many things with them! Generally I like to decorate with them! I love how they look all lined up on the shelf tied with the moda ribbon!
Have a great day!
Catherine
Funny, I started with Barbie clothes too. I almost choose your chocolate stars recipe for my latest quilt.
My favorite pre-cuts right now are charm packs but I'm feeling jelly roll leanings lately...
(all 8 garden (at) yahoo (dot) com)
My favorite is layer cakes. I have been following your blog for a couple months now but never knew you were a dentist. I have three dentists in my family :) so am used to all the dentist puns.
Charm pack and bundles, where is the most possibility of choise!!!
I love the FQ bundles because I can make an entire quilt from it with little else. Thanks!
Congrats on being in the book. Thanks for sharing your talents :)
I like fat quarters because you can cut the other size pieces out of them and still have a bit leftover for other things!
Its so hard to pick a favorite. I love FQ Bundles because of the amount of fabric and the versatility. However, jelly rolls are an inexpensive way to get a taste of an entire line of fabric and there are soooo many things you can do with them - and so many fantastic and free tutorials available. Congratulations on the book! I'm new to your blog but will back to visit! :)
Still a "fat-quarter" fan myself, but jelly rolls are fun to have as well. Thanks for sharing your information (as well as leading the Be Mine Blog Tour) and creative ideas!
Hi Vickie!
Thanks for the giveaway and the recipe!
My favorite precut is a charm pack. With the right pattern and 2 or 3 packs of the same fabric, make a quick and easy quilt!
I found 2 pacs make a lap top quilt
3-4, especially with wide sashing or borders make a double quilt, enough for 2 people to cuddle under!
Take care, Leslie
You forgot to mention that those Jelly Rolls & Layer Cakes are all Calorie free, therefore not settling onto our hips!! ;-) Love your blog..thank you for sharing! Thanks for the giveaway
I'm with your MIL, my shoulders don't much like cutting anymore. So Jelly Rolls are great for me; altho, there is not a precut I would turn down.
Congrats on your presence in the book.
I've been sewing since childhood too. Thanks for this lovely posting!
I am definitely a jelly roll lover. Great for many blocks and patterns plus ready made binding strips.
I love the layer cakes. They're versatile to cut into lots of sizes, or I can leave them large for a quick quilt to show off the fabric.
I've been sewing since childhood too. Thanks for this lovely posting.
I love Charm Packs because they are the least amount of cutting, but my second choice is Layer Cakes (only because you get more fabric) and I usually cut them into Charm Pack squares. Looking forward to the book being released.
I think charm packs are my favorite. I have used a charm pack and it made a nice-sized quilt and didn't take too long to finish. I can't wait to see the new book and the winners. Thanks for the giveaway. --slp
Layer cakes--they offer a bit more wiggle room, which I need.
I love the scrapbags!I really like creating something beautiful out of leftovers. And of course the jellyrolls, it´s just great to get straight to the sewing=) Thank you for the opportunity.
I've been using fat quarters and I really like them but would love to try other pre-cuts.
Hello, and congrats on the new book! I must admit that I have never used precuts as such, but I have been known to purchase a fat quarter or two lol. I think Jelly rolls would be fun to work with tho, because most of the stuff I work on uses a lot off strips. So this new book would be quite an introduction to starting to use pre-cuts.... Thank you for the giveaway!!
I think layer cakes are my favorite because they are so versatile and they let the larger designs/prints shine. That being said, I'd never say no to a jelly roll or FQ bundle :)
I love charm squares too... and jelly rolls.... ahh, I guess you could say I love them all.
i love the dentist pun! more please! congrats on the book!
Congrats on being published in the new book. I am a fan of all the Moda precuts but if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the jelly rolls.
Love your blog!!! I love charm packs and fat quarters. I haven't tried the others yet. Maybe I'll win something and try it :-) congrats on the book!
trinajonas@gmail.com
I love charms packs - I have a drawer full of them. Jelly rolls are fun too. They make quilting fun and saves time. Congrats on being in the new book - can't wait to see it.
I really love Jellyrolls but I tend to combine them with Layer Cakes or Charm Packs. I don't generally have alot of free time and when I do I don't want to spend it cutting I want to start creating. How wonderful for you to be a featured artist in this book! Love your patterns. Thank you for participating in this give away for us.
Hope you're having a great day! My favorite pre-cut is the layer cake. I love the size and versatility of the 10" squares. :)
I'm just starting out quilting, so I'm in love with charm packs. They seem to be the perfect size for small, simple patchwork projects, or my current favorite, disappearing nine-patch. I just love not having to cut my own fabric! :)
Quilting with pre-cuts sure do shorten the planning part of quilting!! I love fat-quarters and jelly rolls but a charm pack is sometimes all you need and waste is just not good :) Can't wait to see the book. Thanks for this chance k.bugbee@att.net
I love charm packs because they are so easy to use for a quick project.
I love jelly rolls..or maybe charm packs the most. I can't decide. I just made a huge double hourglass quilt with 2 jelly rolls and with mu scraps made 2 smaller quilts. Love them!
I love fat-quarter bundles. They have the most potential for the type of quilts I like to make.
A jelly roll, you can so so many things with them...binding, sashing, quilts!
Thanks for the chance!
I am so excited for the new book - I love precuts, my favorite is the jellyroll!! Congrats on the opportunity to have one of your projects in the book :)
I love the Jelly Rolls the most, even in regular quilting I find I used 2.5" strips the most. Can't wait for the book!
I have a hard time choosing a favorite precut! I'm in love with them all because of the convenience. I love being able to get all the fabrics in a line all together. Shops very rarely carry a whole line so it is nice to have the precuts. I love a good fat quarter bundle because of the amount of fabric you get, though I can rarely afford to buy them.=) I'm crossing my fingers that I win that Grand Dessert!
Congratulations on being included in this book! I love the fat quarter bundles. There are just so may possibilities with them. Thanks on the chance on the giveaways.
I like the fat quarters-I love getting a whole line of fabric with enough to make a couple of different things.
nalaxu@comcast.net
I am new to quilting and am starting a quilt using layer cakes. I can't wait to see how it turns out!
Whitney
Would love to win these goodies. I guess my favorite pre-cut would have to be the Jelly Roll. I have used that one the most.
I'm a jelly roll fan, however I have a couple of purse and tote patterns that are excellent for a charm pack. Guess I like both but Jelly's are my fav.
I love layer cakes. I haven't built up to making a quilt yet but as a sewing novice I love layer cakes as I get a sample of the line and there's enough fabric on each to make into bags/placemats, whatever!
I like the FQ bundles best! More fabric with which to work. Lots of scraps for scrap projects.
:)
I love fat quarters as there's so much you can do with them, Jelly Rolls would be close second as they save so much cutting! Please enter me in the giveaway, thank you
I love charm squares and layer cakes, they are so much fun to play with! I just love fabric, always have from the time I was small making doll clothes and decorating shoe boxes into little bedrooms for the dolls.
I love charm packs (you can never have too many in your stash) and jelly rolls. I love to think of all the possibilities of purses, quilts I can make. Congratulations on the book!
To be totally honest, I like any kind of pre-cuts! If it's cotton and pretty then I am sold!!! I usualy buy the ones I can afford and still feed the family but my dream would be to have some of those fat eights or quarters!
Charlene
Currently, my favorite pre-cut is the layer cake. There are so many possibilities, and not much waste.
I love layer cakes the best, because they are nice big squares that can be cut into smaller charms or left whole.
Love all types of pre-cuts because cutting fabric is my least favorite part of quilting. I always felt like that step held me up from getting to the FUN part of quilting! I'm always looking for projects to use all these pre-cuts I keep compulsively buying.
Deanne
I couldn't agree more about precuts! You can dive right in! So fun! I love jelly rolls! I really enjoy your projects!!
Hopping from blog to blog has been so much fun. I can't wait until the book is released.
My favorite precut has to be the charm pack, I have a ton. It is fun to see the whole line of fabric without spending gobs of money. If I like the line, will buy the FQB. Can't wait for the book.
I love charm packs and layer cakes. Layer cakes have more versatility, but charm packs often are just the right amount for some my smaller projects.
I love fat quarter bundles b/c the fabrics are already color coordinated for you and most times I buy fabric b/c I like it and figure out what to do with it later.
I love charm squares for their cuteness and variety, but jelly rolls are very functional and pretty cute themselves.
I have to confess that I love the charm packs, mostly for their ease. I can do so much with them with not too much cutting. Love your blog! Congrats on being published!
I am new to moda fabrics and your blog :) I'm thinking the fat quarters or layer cakes would be the most versatile for me. I could cut them into the sizes needed, thereby getting 'more' out of them.
Suzette Davies
racingfamily91@columbus.rr.com
Layer Cakes, you can cut them how you need them.
Thanks,
Connie F
Lovely! Wish me good luck :)
WOW, so many beautiful things....jelly rolls are my fav...
thanks for an opportunity to WIN BIG...

Hi Vickie! I love to use charm packs. They're either ready to use in any scrappy quilt (my favorite kind) or just need very minimal cutting, so ya ... I love charm packs. I can't wait to see your project in the book! Sounds like it's going to be one of those must-have books for every quilter.
hmm how do you pick a favorite child .... ha ha ha
I think layer cakes are my favorite this week since I have 2 in my stash waiting to be cut and sewed. Congratulations on the new book!
THANKS for the give a way!

I'm a fat quarter girl. WHen I love a line I get the whole thing in fat quarters!
Love your blog, love layer cakes and secondly are the jelly rolls. I'll be sure to come back and visit you again, even if you don't have giveaways.
Congrats on the book. How exciting for you! I think my favorite precut is the fat quarter bundle because it gives you lots of options as to what you can create.
My fav pre-cut would be fat quarters. They are so versatile and such a nice size for everything from making your own charm square to fussy cutting from a large print. Thanks for the awesome book tour and the fabulous giveaway!

My fav pre-cut has to be Fat quarters! I use a "shape cut" ruler to get all the other shapes and sizes I need.... I love to quilt with larger pieces, so fat quarters are perfect!
Layer Cakes are my favorite, but I only buy them on sale for $28. or less. They're very costly, but it's great to get a piece of the whole line to use in more than one project. That's why I like them best.
I like them all but I think I enjoy using the layer cakes the most. It's like having 4 charm packs!
My favorite precut is fat quarters because it's a larger piece of fabric and allows me more creativity.
Hi Vickie! I love this progressive dinner, it's so much fun meeting everyone...
I love charms packs because they are so reasonably priced I can buy several and audition the fabrics and choose what I want my next project to be! I usually end up buying a jelly roll or layer cake to go with the one I pick and go from there! thanks again!

I love working with turn overs. Triangles are hard for me to work with, these help keep them uniform size and shape. Armadillosattic@gmail.com
I am a HUGE fan of Layer Cakes - I think they're the most versatile.
Thank you so much for the chance to win! The Progressive Dinner has been so much fun so far. :)
Charms packs, they are easier to find and make a quick project. I would love to win the book, the preview projects look wonderful.
I love turnovers and jelly rolls. I enjoy star quilts and working with triangles. And jelly rolls can't be beat for any quilt.
I love ALL the precuts! (How can you not?) But if I have to pick a favorite, it is the charm packs! So inexpensive you can pick up lots of different lines and not feel guilty, then blend them with solids to really stretch them and finally, use the charm pack as your guide to pick your favorite print if you need extra yardage!
First, congrats on being part of this book. I am new to your blog but a quick look thru convinced me to add it to my Favorites list. I'm a charm person - I love having a taste of the fabrics and fortunately there are plenty of patterns out there, including good old "nickel" quilts.
i love the charm packs. :)
they make me want to get on with it and start sewing.
:)
charm squares are so perfect to make baby quilts!! I do like Jelly rolls too and layer cakes .. lol.. all of them!!
I love charm packs... mostly because I can just about always justify squeezing them into my budget :-D. Congrats on the book!
I love a layer cake. It can do anything a charm pack or jelly roll can do. :)
I was going to say that my favorite pre-cut is the jelly roll, but you mentioned a fat eighth bundle. I didn't know Moda made those! I think that would be a great size to use!
Fat quarters are my favorite pre-cut. Simply because you can use them to make small children's clothing, or you can cut them into many other sizes.
So far I've only used the charm squares and I LOVE them!! Fat quarters are awesome and I have a good sized collection of them as well but the charm squares are an inexpensive way to get a whole fabric line and there is just so much to do with them!!
I like the charm squares because they are affordable and there are great patterns available for them.
I couldn't agree with you more that the precuts make quilting so much faster! With 3 (soon to be 4) little ones at home, my time to quilt is limited. So far I've loved charm packs and jelly rolls, but I'm about to try my first layer cake quilt. :D
This is so much fun! I really love fat quarter bundles, you can do so much with them, but i love the charm squares and jelly rolls too because they are so easy to work with! my name is felicia, fgrierson at hotmail dot com, I love giveaways!!
Hi Vickie! Well, I am a newbie when it comes to quilting, but I LOVE it. So far the only pre-cuts I have had the opportunity to use are charm packs, jelly rolls, and honey buns, but I can't wait to cook up something with the rest of the supplies! They really do make getting into a project fast and easy!
Congratulations on being featured in the upcoming book, and thank you so much for your participation in the "dinner" and your wonderful give aways! All this lusciousness is whetting my appetite for more! :o)
XOXO,
Cyndi
I'm with you on the efficiency of the pre-cuts. I especially like the jelly rolls as most everything I've been making lately requires 2 1/2 in. squares or 2 1/2 x 3 1/2 in. rectangles. These make a quilt go together quite quickly. Congrats on the book, it looks awesome. And thanks for the chance to win the giveaway.
My favorite pre-cuts are jelly rolls. They are so versitile. You can use them to make something look scrappy as well as nice!
I love love love charm packs. Congrats on the new book and thanks for the fun contest.
I really like jelly rolls. I've seen a couple of really cute quilts which look really like they are pretty fast to put together...I bought some jelly rolls a while back and am going to try to do those quilts and see how it goes. My very first quilt (and only one) I made was done with a jelly roll. It turned out pretty cute, if I do say so myself!
I love all the precuts! My favorite right now is a layer cake because there are so many cute patterns that use them. Thanks for the chance to win!

my favorite pre-cuts are charm packs, you get a little of every fabric and they are affordable!
My favorite pre-cuts are Layer cakes.
I don't think I have a favorite precut but, I do love fat quarters. I think I would love to have a fat quarter bundle. arinlayton at gmail dot com
I think I would have to choose the charm packs, they do stack up nicely if you don't use them quickly!!! Can't wait on the book to be out!!!
I was just thinking I needed to visit my dentist. Happy day!
I love CHARM PACKS!! They're great because I can move out of my comfort zone and try new colors and styles without spending a ton of money or committing to a huge, massive project. Love them love them love them!
I love all the pre-cuts. There are lots of patterns out there to use all of them. Fat quarters are probably my favorite because you can do so many things with them.
Congratulations on the book, it looks wonderful! My favorite pre-cut is a layer cake, so versatile and delicious! Plenty of fabric to play with or just enough to add with others for something larger and different.
I believe fat quarters are my favorite. I can hoard them and change my mind easier on their purpose in life. I do love all the other cuts though. I'm excited to have found your site. I'm off to take a look around.
As a new quilter I love precuts not only for because most of the cutting is already done but they also eliminate my hard task of finding coordinating fabrics. I love that someone with better color sense does that for me. My favorite precuts are probably layer cakes.
I love to mix different pre-cuts: charms, layer cakes and jelly rolls. The best part about pre-cuts is you get a piece of each fabric in a collection!
