Words can not describe how excited I am to be part of the Moda Bake Shop book Fresh Fabric Treats.
There are 15 authors participating in the Progressive Dinner to introduce you to this new book.
I don't know about you, but I had to look up the definition of progressive dinner.
I didn't even know dinners like this existed.
I live in a small town and we have potlucks LOL.
After this virtual progressive dinner...I am itching to try a real one!

Before I get off on too much of a tangent, let me introduce myself to new readers of my blog.
I'm Vickie.
I have been a sewer/crafter since I was 8 years old. I started with basic Barbie doll clothing and journeyed through cross stitch, crochet, miniatures, scrap booking, card making, cake decorating, knitting and quilting. I settled comfortably into quilting about 12 years ago while I was training to be a dentist. I have been a dentist for 10 years, married 11 years and have 2 lovely daughters. My time is little and precious as you can understand. I have always been searching for ways to streamline my quilting time. And that is where my love for Moda pre-cuts grew. I realized that sewing with pre-cut charm packs, jelly rolls etc. was a much quicker way to get right to a project. I enjoy all aspects of quilting, but make a part of it faster, easier and more enjoyable....I am there!
In addition to helping me sew more efficiently, I have found pre-cuts to really work well for my mother-in-law. Over the last 10 years she has had an increasingly more difficult time cutting fabric. She has had carpel tunnel surgery and the less cutting the better.
Pre-cuts are awesome for this!
They truly are.
With the right pattern she can just sit and sew.
I don't mean for this to sound like an infomercial.
I just really love/believe in jelly rolls and layer cakes.
Can you tell by the picture above?
Where else can you find such wonderful "sweets" without a chance of a cavity??
Oh, Come on, I HAD to put that in there.
{I promise that is the last dentist pun for this entire post}

«Oldest ‹Older 601 – 800 of 1065 Newer› Newest»I like fat eighths bundles the best, too! They are easier for me to afford, and yet I still get a huge variety of fabrics. And lots of fat quarter patterns can work with fat eighths instead of fat quarters.
My favorites are Fat Quarter Bundles because I love, love to make scrappy quilts and the fat quarters leave enough left over that I can enjoy the fabric later, too. But I have to admit that I also love the Fat Eighths, Layer Cakes, Charm Squares, Jelly Rolls, Honey Buns, and even the Triangle Turnovers. I guess I buy them all because I just love fabric.
Jelly rolls are my favorite precut today, subject to change! I love the ease of precuts.
I love all precuts. I usually buy a charm pack of a line I like so I can look at the fabrics and decide what I want to make with them. I have made several layer cake quilts, and have been collecting jelly rolls for a year or two now. I just bought my first few fat eighth bundles and I'm loving those. Really, how do you pick a favorite?
I love jelly rolls. They are perfect for making my strip pieced twirl skirts.
From ARTBETH:
I'm fairly new to the world of precuts; I've only used charm packs. I think Layer Cakes could easily become a favorite, because there is so much that can be done easily with them.
jemilyea [at] hotmail . com
I have only used jelly rolls, but layer cakes are catching my eye
I really like the charm packs. I like that it gives me an opportunity to play around with the fun fabrics and do a quick project. Congrats on the book!

My favorite precut is charm squares because they are so cute and you can make lots of things with them.
Thanks for holding this contest!
Congratulations on the book; I can't wait to see it.
I'm new to quilting but layer cakes seem to be very versatile and suitable for lots of projects. I'd love to try all the pre-cuts though - my cutting's not the best!
Thanks to everyone involved in this fun blog tour and fabulous giveaway :)
Congratulations on the book! I can't wait to get a copy. I love charm squares for putting together something in a hurry but I do LOVE all the precuts!!!
I like the charm packs..like the size and that I can find so many ways to use them.
Thanks for having us over for dinner!
I love fat quarters! Congratulations on the book.
sewhandy13atyahoo.com
Congratulations on the book. I find myself using jellyrolls, charm packs mostly, but also getting into layer cakes now.
I love the jelly rolls because I to have a lot of trouble cutting because of arthritis. Thanks for a chance for this lovely book.
My favourite cut is the layer cake... you can make it into 2.5" strips or 4 charm squares... or use it like it is?
Congratulations on the new book! You will be having lots of fun. I still have the long skinny tablerunner in my plan to make from your pattern. I like both the jelly rolls and the charm packs. They do make a quilt go much faster! janebiles@cox.net
This looks like an awesome book! Thanks for the giveaway!
I'm a new quilter, so I don't have favorites yet. I think I would like any kind of precut, though!
I like layer cakes, they seem to be the most versatile of the pre-cuts.
I love good old fat quarters...though I haven't tried a jelly roll yet.
What a great post. I have often wanted to do a progressive dinner too but we just don't have that many friends who would want to participate. We are in a small town as well. Too bad you're not closer, we could talk some others into doing one.
Anyway, my favorite cut right now are charm packs. Until recently, I've always bought yardage and LOTS of it. I was given a free online quilting class and in there she based the entire class on the convenience of using charm packs and I thought that was such a great idea. I also have recently bought my first fat quarter bundle and I do like that as well because it has some of everything in there and they all match which is wonderful for me. I've had SUCH a hard time not being all matchy matchy with fabric colors so this is just perfect for me. I guess it's a tossup for me between charm packs and fat quarter bundles.
Thank you for the chance to win and congratulations for being chosen to be part of this awesome book. I can't wait to either win one or buy my own. It looks like a great book.

I love jelly rolls. I haven't sew with them much, but love all the things I've seen made with them. I have one I'm going to be cutting up and sewing here very soon.

My pre-cut of choice is jelly rolls. I think they give me alot of flexibility for use.
Congratulations on the book!
Fat eighths are the thing for me too! Thanks for the chance:0) Sarah
Jelly Roll please. I love these becasue I can make strippy quilts and projects or quickly cut squares, etc. BTW, my 4 yr old girl wants to be a dentist. I am very supportive of her dental dreams and she is very supportive of my sewing stuff.
I haven't tried precuts but I am about to order several jelly rolls for projects. Thanks for the inspiration!
Congratulations on the book. I LOVE jelly rolls and find so may patterns now to use them.
The 23rd is a special day for me as its our 51st wedding anniversary.
Well, I am very new to quilting....so new in fact that I am about to start my first quilt with a friend's help! I have purchased a jelly roll and a charm pack so far for two different projects and I do love that I won't have to be doing so much cutting!!
I love fat quarters because I LOVE leftovers! But the charm squares certainly look appealing.
Cute quilts! The book sounds like fun.
can't wait for the book! layer cakes are delis--- no calories!
I love the star drop table topper you have at MBS. I am just starting to use precuts have tried a few things but am inspired to try more. My daughter of 13 and I both like the jelly rolls and want to try a layer cake.
I like all of the pre-cuts. I really like the charm squares and the layer cakes.
I love charm packs. They are very inexpensive and you can do so many things with them. You can make small items like pin cushions and stuffed animals or sew them into long strips and make a strip skirt or even a childs dress!
So looking forward to this book! Thanks for the opportunity to win fun prizes! Fat Quarters are my favorite!
Well I have used lots of CHarm packs but I really like that a layer cake gives you more options and then maybe a little fabric left over sometimes for another quick scrappy project. The book sounds like a wonderful resource, can't wait to see one ...maybe in my mailbox! :)our10kids@cox.net
I really like jelly rolls, but I'm also a fan of layer cakes. I'm super excited for this book to be released!
Layer cakes are my favorite pre-cut. Congratulations on the book.
Hello! I've been having such fun with this progressive dinner! I've been visiting sites I've never been to before. My favorite precut? My favorite, is Cake Layers. However, my wallet can only afford charm squares most of the time!!
My favorites are fat quarters, layer cakes & jelly rolls - - - my most favorite, I think, would be the fat quarter packs. They're just so versatile & the leftovers are great for scrappy quilt tops.
Oh my!I love the layer cakes...I haven't tried the fat eighth bundles, those might be my next love!!! I have done a lot of projects with charm packs, and have gotten a few jelly rolls to work with--but I am currently in love with the layer cakes. =)
michelle
I love layer cakes! Not sure why they are my favorite, but probably because I get the most fabric for the money! Congrats on being published!
currently my fave pre-cut is the charm pack - b/c it's a great way to have a small sample of the entire fabric line, even when i'm not exactly sure what i'll do with it or when.
my favorites are fat quarters!
Layer cakes are my favorite! Jelly Rolls a clos
e second :) Thanks for the chance!
I've never tried any pre-cuts but now I'm just itching to. I would love to try any of them, but will probably try the jelly roll or charm pack first. Congrats on the book. I can't wait to see it!
I love charm packs. I've used them ever since I started quilting!
You are incredible to be able to work full-time raise a family and have time to sew. Kudos to you.
I love fat quarter bundles or dessert rolls.
I love all of the pre-cuts. I've never tried the fat eights but I know I'll love them too. Right now I'm into layer cakes and charm packs in Scnibbles. So great!!
Congrats on book!!
dddsgirl@msn.com
I mostly use the jelly rolls, because I really don't like the cutting part of quilting. So I would love to win some!
My favorite precut is a tie between the charm pack, because you can experience so many different pretty fabrics for such a reasonable price - or the fat quarter pack, because you can experience so much more of those pretty fabrics!! Thanks for the chance to win, Vicki!
I love fat quarter bundles cause I get a little bit of everything and have a little left over to make something with my scraps! Congratulations on the book!
I really like fat quarter stacks, but I think that is just because it is the most fabric you can get in a precut bundle. I guess I'm greedy?!?
I've only tried charm packs and layer cakes so far and I would say out of those two I like the layer cake because there are more options. I'll have to try the others soon.
way to go Vickie!! I'm glad I knew you when! I want an autographed copy...big congrats. My favorite pre-cut? FQ bundles! LOL I like them all actually.
I'm loving the Progressive Dinner. We have them all the time out here in Utah. You start with an appetizer at one home and move the next for the salad, the next for the main course, the next for the dessert. You usually have the number of couples involved as you do for the portions of the meals. Great fun activity. As for my favorite pre-cut, hands down the charm pack. I can enjoy the entire collection for a fraction of the cost, and I love making charm pack quilts.
Mary
I really like charm squares. Mainly because they are fairly inexpensive and you get such a great taste of all the fabrics. I'm also a jelly roll fan. Congratulations on being included in the book!
I've just recently been introduced to pre-cuts. They are wonderful because cutting is hard for me too (I have arthritis in my hands). So far I've experienced a charm pack. So nifty!
I love the charm squares, basically because it is what I can afford in order to get a little piece of a whole line of fabric! affordable is good.
I really like layer cakes at the moment. There is such a great variety of fabrics and the larger size makes it very user friendly for may different block designs. Thanks for participating in the progressive dinner and Congrats on the book.
My favorite precut is the layer cake because I neever know for sure what I'll be using it for when I buy them. I also have to admit the honey bun pre cut is nice too, cause those 1.5 inch strips can get pretty tedious when cutting.
Love the charms packs. Congrats on the book! Can't wait to see it!
I love all the precuts, but especially the jelly roll and the honey bun. I love to use the honey buns for churn dashes, and the jelly roll for log cabin-y quilts.
Hi,
I haven't tried pre-cuts but from reading the comments and the reasons they like them I think it would be fun to do something with charm squares. I am just starting in quilting so I could get lots of different fabrics in one line for a good price.
magirite@gmail.com
Thanks
~M~
Jelly rolls are my favorite dessert because there are so many recipes (patterns) that with a pinch here & there and a smidgen of this or that, they make very creative quilts. Congrats on being a great chef included in the Fresh Fabric Treats book.
Right now I really like charm squares. I've been using them to try English Paper Piecing, they are so small and easy to cut out for EPP.
ginger c at gmail dot com
I love Jelly Rolls because of the versatility of the pre-cut strips.
I like charm squares, because I can do some projects without having to cut very much.
rsgrandinetti@yahoo(DOT)com
I really like charm packs, because you can cut them apart or just mix them up and sew a simple top
All the precuts are very tempting - just like their namesakes; but I think my favorite is the layer cake. Cut it in fourths and you've got 4 charm packs. Cut it in 2 1/2" strips and you have almost the same amount of fabric as a jelly roll. Cool!
Right now I'm loving charm squares because many of my BOM's require them (like Miss Shabby's Birdie Stitcehs). Contests on being selected for this book! Scrapcattouch@gmail.com
I'm relatively new to quilting, but have really enjoyed working with fat quarters. FQs are also great for making small clutches/wristlets, etc.
Congrats on the book!
It's a toss up between charm packs and fat quarters for me. I love being able to buy the small charm packs to see all the fabrics and make small projects, but the fat quarters give so much versatility.
My favorite precut is the FQ pack because there is plenty of fabric to try out lots of different things! Congratulations on the lovely book!
I love charm packs because I can get a taste of a whole collection for less than $10!
I love Moda precuts, too! Unfortunately, I often leave them wrapped up because they look so yummy and because I have a hard time deciding what I should use each one for....there are so many great pre-cut patterns out there!!
I think my favorite is the honeybun. They are just so dainty and I have some fabulous bag patterns to make with them.
I've only used charm packs so far, but I would think that jelly rolls will be my favorite.
I love all the pre-cuts, but especially charm packs! Thanks for the chance to win
Hi Vickie! Congratulations on being chosen as one of the best Chefs in this new book. Jelly Rolls are by far my favorite. I find that they make cutting the pieces out much easier and saves a lot of time. Congratulations again for being honored in this new book.
OHHHH so hard to decide when really we love them all right? There's something about the way a jelly roll feels in your hand, but I would have to go with fat quarters! Thanks and congrats!
My fave pre cut right now is a fat quarter, so of course i really love fat quarter bundles. i sew a wide variety of items and i find that the fat quarters are a great way to try a lot of fabrics in a line and be able to sew projects that are large or small. thanks for the chance to win!
I love the layer cakes! They save so much time cutting but they are still big enough you can do so much with them!
Well, I love all the precuts...I've used TONS of charm packs, a jelly roll, a few honey buns, and several turnovers. My first fat quarter bundle is sitting on my sewing table waiting its turn! Congrats on the book!
Hi Vickie - can't wait to see your project in the book - my favourite pre-cut is the jelly roll although I don't mind a honey bun - they are both versatile and handy for lap quilts.
I love Candy Bars! They're perfect for little girl doll quilts!!!
I love fat quarter bundles! I get more of the farbic then with a jelly roll or layer cake and can have more design possibilities!
I enjoyed your blog. I like most precuts, but probably prefer fat quarters as you can cut them in so many ways. I look forward to getting the book...that is if I don't win One!
I love fat quarters because they are so versatile.
nettecan at hotmail dot com
Wow I can't believe how many of your MBS patterns that I have used and loved! I especially like the Cherry Block runner and the Skinny Verna! Congrats on getting in the book!
My favorite precut is charm packs because they are super affordable and gives you a little bit of fabric from the whole line. I also have found that they work in a lot of patterns!

I love fat quarter...The SKY is the limit with them. I can't wait to see what you do with your apple core scraps. I have the die and was planning on making an apple core....inquiring minds want to see your upcoming project with them!
Since I'm a fabric hoarder (just ask my husband), I LOVE all fabric in any cut. The top shelf of my fabric closet has eights and jelly rolls, while my fat quarters have a house all their own!
Well, I love just about all the precuts! Charm packs and fat quarters are on my radar now, but I'd love to work with a fat eighth!
Your stacked pre-cute JR is soooooo delicious that it made me drooooooolll all over my keyboard... oh this is killing me... and I love all pre-cuts....it makes my life easier and bearable... LOL! but the best is always the fat quarter bundle...hehehehe
Congrats on the feature in the new book... looking forward to it...
hmseen at gmail dot com...
Hi there, nice to meet you! I enjoyed your dental puns! :o) I am a beginner quilter, and have worked only with charms packs, so those are my current favorite. But I'd LOVE to try some jelly rolls and layer cakes soon!
jwallace9@gmail.com
what a great blog! love it! i love a good charm pack!
I love a jelly Roll but have to admit I'm growing very fond of Charm packs.
I have a small collection of charms squares, jelly rolls, honey rolls and layer cakes...they look so so lovely on my shelf...this year it is on my list to gobble up some of this yummy stuff and make every really yummy quilts...I think my favorite would be layer cakes because I can use them as a layer cake or 4 sets of charm squares...congrats on the publication and a great blog...LindaB

Vickie, you have made some of my absolute favorite recipes on Moda Bake Shop. I adore your work! I think my favorite Moda pre-cut is the charm squares. I love having a sample of every fabric in a line, and if I can make a small, quick project I'm in heaven.

I love the fat quarter stack the most, but when I can't afford one, I will pick up a layer cake.
I've only used charm packs, but I'd love to try one of the jelly rolls b/c I tend to like strip quilting. I'm excited to try anything new!
I am so excited about this book! I LOVE pre-cuts too! Seriously, they are all just so much fun! I really like jelly rolls, but my favorite may just be fat quarters! I like a big juicy chunk of fabric to create all sorts of things! :) Thanks for the chance to win!
Well I have to say that my favorite pre-cut, at the moment :), is the jelly roll. I have been making quite a few things out of them, with my newest being a cover for my Kindle from the Moda Bake Shop site!!
Thanks for sharing!
Jen
Fat Quarter bundles are my favorite! Congrats on the new book...looking forward to it!
My favorite so far is the layer cake because it gives you a good size piece of each print and is so versatile - but if I love a line and don't know what I'm going to do with it yet, FQ pack is the way to go so that you'll have enough for whatever you decide!
Right now I like fat quarters the best, because they are the biggest! It seems like I have more options with the fat quarter bundle.
Congrats on your inclusion in the book! It's precuts that have recently gotten me back into quilting, so I completely agree with your infomercial above. :) I'm particularly loving the versatility of the layer cake.
I have only bought fat quarters, and I really like them. I would like to try layer cakes or jelly rolls next. Congratulations on the book.
I have to say that my favorite is the charm pack. I just love those 5 inches of goodness. Thanks for sharing your creativity with us.
I love fat quarters but then, let's be honest, I LOVE all fabric in any size or shape! Congrats on the new book!
My favorites are a toos up between the charm packs and the jelly rools. I really love them both!!!! Congrats on the book!!!!!!
I like jelly rolls as it gives me a great selection at a reasonable price! Thanks for the opportunity, terri in bc
I'm not sure my comment went through, so if it did-I apologize. I love jelly rolls and charm packs-so many possibilities. Thanks for the chance to win!
My favorite precuts right now are layer cakes. I've found so many cute patterns that use layer cakes. Love them!
I love charm packs. They are so cute and fun. And in a pinch, you can just sew them together and make a quick gift! Talk about fun!
I can't wait to get my copy of this book! w.melissa@gmail.com
Just discovered the Scrap Bag this week. I love surpises so it would be fun to get a scap bag of strips!! Congrats on the book. I am excited!!
Congratulations on your new book! My favorite pre-cut is a charm pack, because it's not too big or too small for most quilt projects for my skill level. But as I start quilting more, I'm positive all the pre-cuts will be my favorite! :)
layer cakes or fat quarters. Thanks!
i've only used jelly rolls so far. which i love! my next project is using a layer cake though... but i have purchased three jelly rolls this month. oops :)
marileegarff at yahoo dot com
jelly rolls are the best - I dislike strip cutting!
sagebreeze at hotmail dot com
FQs are my favs. So much fabric, so little time.
These dinner dates are just so much fun, I'm having a ball this week, congrats on the book I can't wait to get a copy. I think I love fat quarters the best but I do really love jelly rolls, then layer cakes are really handy.....nope, too hard to choose, I love them all...

Congrats on being part of such a fun book! I can't wait to see it. I really love the larger pieces of fabric, so I can see more of the lovely patterns. Thank you!
I have a thing for Charm squares at the moment but absolutely love Jelly Rolls to although I have never actually used one :-/ I do have some patterns to try using them though. Cant wait to see the book :-)
I've not used any of the pre-cuts and have only made one quilt but am aching to make more and already have fabric to make two more. I am dreading cutting out all those little squares so think I would like a fat-quarter stack;-) Thanks for such a great giveaway!
My favorite pre-cuts are the Layer Cakes. They are so versatile, plus they are like having 4 charm packs of that fabric & I like those as well.:)
Debi
debi1953@sbcglobal.net
My favourite so far is charm squares. I love them how they are quick to whip up a simple sampler of all the fabrics in a line, if you are stuck for time and want to gift something. I have ordered my first jelly rolls in sunkissed. Other than that the only pre-cuts I have ever used were fat quarters.
I'm a busy mama to seven beautiful children ( 5 girls and 2 boys, the youngest 10 weeks) so precuts will save me precious time. I can't wait to try them all.
That stack of jelly rolls look like so much fun. I know I shouldn't be envious, so I'll just imagine they are all mine and what fun I could have with them! <3
I love a sweet Jelly Roll, but always wish there was more fabric when I get to look at it! Thanks!
lexilucas@gmail.com
Charm packs are my favourite because I make a lot of baby quilts and they make it so easy. But I definitely need to branch out and try some of the different dessert cuts!
My favorite pre-cut is the fat quarter bundle. I would love to make a quilt for my bed. Thank you. Take care and God bless, Cory
Hi from Japan
I really like Jelly Rolls.so sometimes ordered them.
And always enjoying your cute patterns.
So lovely and thank you for dinner.
Love your dental puns (probably because I am a dentist too!) :) I just started quilting last year and I LOVE precuts! My favorite is probably charm packs :) Thanks so much and congrats on the book!
bruinbr at gmail dot com
I love jelly rolls - playing with coordinated colours is such fun.
My favorite is a layer cake, I can't really pinpoint why but I just love them! Thanks for the giveaway and I can't wait to see the book.
I love all of the different fabrics that come in a layer cake. Congrats on the book! I can't wait to see it.
melodylynnhoward@gmail.com
Congratulations on being a part of the book!
I think charm packs are my favorite for getting to know a line. If I know I love the line or learn to love it from a charm pack then Fat Quarter Bundle all the way! You can get so much out of them!!!
I love a layer cake because that was the very first pre-cut I bought in a lovely quilt store in Pendleton, OR. I am really looking forward to seeing that book - it looks so awesome. Thanks for sharing!
I love jellyrolls because you can start working with them right away. It saves a lot of time
I love everything MODA!!!Moda is my God!
Of course a FQ Bundle would be great but so would a Jelly roll(one that doesn't add calories to my butt!)
Jelly rolls every time! -is it because I love strip piecing? -so quick and easy :)
I love charm packs as they are a fantastic way to make baby quilts and give you a great feel of the range of colours, patterns etc in a range.
Thanks for all the inspiration & keep sewing!
Fat quarters all the way! That was you can rotary cut whatever you want! Congrats on the book!
It's jelly rolls for me!
My favorite precut? Although I love them all, jelly rolls have stolen my heart - they're so useful, and they mean I don't have to cut 2.5" strips with my questionable rotary cutting skills! Moda's idea was brilliant!
I love fat quarter bundles because they are very versatile and you can make more than one quilt out of them. They possibilities seem endless with them. Congratulations for the book
I am new to quilting and can't wait to quilt with a precut! Playing with all those colors and getting to the machine, how much fun:)
Hi from Brisbane Australia. Congrats on being in the book.
I'm new to quilting and love layer cakes as they make up quickly and are easier to cut (for a beginner) than say a fat quarter or yardage.
I love all the precuts although jelly rolls seem to be my favourite. Lately I have bought a couple of fat eight bundles so maybe these will take over. Thanks for the invitation.
I love the fat quarter bundles.....she who has the most fabric wins! That way I have extra fabric left over to make more than one project!
Fat quarters for sure. Can't wait to see the book
I guess the precut depends on how many projects one wants to make,or in my case, how much I loooooove the fabric(then a fat quarter bundle is a necessity). I'm using a jellyroll for my current quilt and have used them several times before-very easy and quick to work with(love all those jellyroll bundles stacked together).
Great blog, wonderful projects.
I have only used fat quarters so far, but I think I would really love jelly rolls--I see so many great things to make with those strips. Thanks for the chance to win!
Can't wait for this great book! Creative geniuses!
I love jelly rolls. so fun and easy to work with!
Thanks,
Kelly
I think my favorite pre-cut is the layer cake. I've worked through charm packs, jelly rolls and layer cakes and I think the LC gives you the best deal (if you do the make and figure approx price per yard) and the most flexibility. You can cut it down into 4 charm packs or cut 2.5" strips if you want. I've never tried a fat quarter bundle or fat eigth bundle before!
Jelly rolls are definitely my favourite. I haven't run out of ways to use them yet and I just love getting all the fabrics in a new line all at once! It's like being on a fabric diet.
I like fat quarter bundles best because you get more fabric. :)
Congratulations on being included in the book! I can't wait to see it.
Fat Quarters are my favorite, but I love charm squares, too -- love to look at all the different patterns and colors together! Congratulations on the book - I am looking forward to seeing it!
My favorite precut if the fat quarter bundle because you have so much room for creativity...but I'm interested in trying the new fat eighth!
I have only used jelly rolls and fat quarters. They are great to use to whip out a quilt!
I love fat quarters, they are great stash builders and you can do so much with them. Thanks.
I love layer cakes and jelly rolls and charms too.

Hi Vickie, Well I'm an intraoral DA, wife & mother of two girls, and a precut loving quilter :) From the sounds of your post we have a few things in common. My favorite precut?..... I've never met a precut I don't like, but I'll vote for Jelly rolls since they are just so pretty all rolled up.
My first visit was through the Be Mine Blog Tour. I can' wait to see your project in the book.
My favorite pre-cut is the fat-quarter bundle. So many more options than other pre-cuts.
Thanks for hosting this give-away!
I am a begginer quilter & precuts make it very easy for me... My current favorite is layer cakes.
Congrats on being included in the book! I love your projects. And I love jelly rolls best, I think. They're quite versatile (they can even be used for binding!) even if they do leave me covered in little fuzzies from the pinked edges. Thanks for a chance to win!
I've only had access to two types of precuts so I'm speaking from limited experience..I'd say the jelly roll is my fave. It is so versatile and there are so many patterns where it can be used. Many of those patterns are quick and getting a little of an entire COORDINATED line into a top looks marvelous!
I'm so excited for the book! Congratulations!
Jelly rolls! I took a class with Kimberly Einmo and her wonderful rulers make piecing Jelly rolls into beautiful quilts so easy. They come already color coordinated and cut into strips for you! The little rolled up bundle of joy is so fun to look at and then you open it up and it basically explodes across the sewing room until you can wrangle it into submission and cut it for a quilt. I still love them though. :)
I LOVE Moda fabric!! My very first quilt was out of the Bliss line and I have loved it since then!! It have beautiful bright colors that fit my daughters personality to a "T"!! I would love to get a copy of this book!! And have a chance to win the grand prize!! Thanks!! appleshae@hotmail.com
My favorite pre-cut is the jelly roll. I have made so many lap quilts with just one jelly roll and one yard of fabric - I love them for a quick easy gift!! Congrats on the book!! I hope I win one.
Do I have to pick just one? I love FQB's because I get a lot of fabric from one line. Yet, I love charm packs because it's an inexpensive way to get an entire fabric line.
I'm new to precuts, and would love to try any, but especially the layer cake. Larger cuts would be easier to incorporate in a bag design. Thanks for hosting this giveaway.
I love the fat quarter bundles, like the challenge to see how many things I can make out of all the fun colors
I'm loving layer cakes right now - because they're so versatile! Congratulations on the book. I can't WAIT to get my hands on it!
I like fat quarters, but I just bought a layer cake yesterday which I'm excited about because I get to play with several different fabrics for a low price. Congratulations on the book!
For me, the cutting is the tedious part... and uncomfortable for me. Last year, I tried my very first layer cake and it was love at first sight! I have yet to try charms or jelly rolls so here's hoping I win!

Congratulations Vickie! What an honor! My two favorites are the fat quarter bundle and charm packs. FQs because you get a fair amount of fabric to work with and the charm pack because they are inexpensive and easy to collect! LOL!
Hi Vickie!
My favorite pre-cut is the charm pack. I love getting a bitty bit of each fabric in a line. Lately I have found that I have been eyeing the Layer Cakes. Hahahaha, the heart wants what the heart wants :)
i am a beginner so that´s why i love all the pre cuts, the 28 is my birthday so wish me look!

What a wonderful book! I can't wait to get my hands on it. Congratulations!! My favourite pre-cut would be be jelly roll - only because I haven't used one yet, but would LOVE to!:)
I love jelly rolls. I love to work with strips. I love your Bookkeeper. I am getting a nook and need something to protect it.
Thanks for the giveaway. I will definitely buy it, it I don't win it of course.
Layer cakes. So much versatility, and somehow it seems like so much more fabric to play around with. Yummy recipes!

My favourite pre-cut in general are FQ's sets - I love to have each fabrics from a specific collection in bigger amount than just charm. And now I wait when Sherbet Pips will hit the stores - counting days almost:)
I'm really in to charm packs right now - they fill my need to have every fabric in a line [within my budget] and they are perfect for half square triangles :) can't wait to see the book! ylheidi(a)frontier(dot)com
As a fellow mom who works full time, it is so inspiring to see your patterns! Congrats on the book!
My favorite precut us fat quarter bundles because they can do ANYTHING with scraps left over! Love them!
Thanks for the giveaway!
I have fun with charm squares..small and challenging!
Congrats on the book! My fav precut are the Fat Quarter Bundles. You get a great helping of each fabric. I also love the layer cakes...and jelly rolls...okay maybe I can't pick just one!
Thanks for the giveaway!
Thank you so much for sharing your designs with us! My favorite precuts are probably charm packs. You can do a lot with those little guys! hatt.jam@gmail.com
I'm currently in love with layer cakes...a world of possibilities in a 10" square of fabric (IMO!).
I love Layer cakes because you get a very workable amount of fabric for less $ than a fat quarter bundle.
Congrats! My favourite pre-cut is the Charm Pack...they are inexpensive and easy to use. And not as scary to cut into as a jelly roll or layer cake!
Oh my, I keep changing my mind about what is my favorite, but for the moment it is the fat quarters bundles! I can't wait to see the new book; and to try out the fun projects!

I like working with jelly rolls and charm packs together in a project. Just border the charm with a jelly roll strip and you have a cute block. I do dark/light then light/dark so I have contrast when they are set together. Easy!
I've used charm packs the most and I have a couple of jelly rolls that I need to break into - soon. So I would have to say charm packs for no particular reason other than these are really the only pre-cuts that I have used.
My favourite precut - oh my oh my I just purchased "Spirit" charm squares for a baby quilt and am quite excited to get started. I love them all and am always looking for new patterns so I can order more precuts!!! Moda bakeshop is so inspiring.
I love any pre-cut just for the sheer beauty of the fabrics all coordinated together. For making up a quilt, I'd pick a jelly roll.
