Words can not describe how excited I am to be part of the Moda Bake Shop book Fresh Fabric Treats.
There are 15 authors participating in the Progressive Dinner to introduce you to this new book.
I don't know about you, but I had to look up the definition of progressive dinner.
I didn't even know dinners like this existed.
I live in a small town and we have potlucks LOL.
After this virtual progressive dinner...I am itching to try a real one!

Before I get off on too much of a tangent, let me introduce myself to new readers of my blog.
I'm Vickie.
I have been a sewer/crafter since I was 8 years old. I started with basic Barbie doll clothing and journeyed through cross stitch, crochet, miniatures, scrap booking, card making, cake decorating, knitting and quilting. I settled comfortably into quilting about 12 years ago while I was training to be a dentist. I have been a dentist for 10 years, married 11 years and have 2 lovely daughters. My time is little and precious as you can understand. I have always been searching for ways to streamline my quilting time. And that is where my love for Moda pre-cuts grew. I realized that sewing with pre-cut charm packs, jelly rolls etc. was a much quicker way to get right to a project. I enjoy all aspects of quilting, but make a part of it faster, easier and more enjoyable....I am there!
In addition to helping me sew more efficiently, I have found pre-cuts to really work well for my mother-in-law. Over the last 10 years she has had an increasingly more difficult time cutting fabric. She has had carpel tunnel surgery and the less cutting the better.
Pre-cuts are awesome for this!
They truly are.
With the right pattern she can just sit and sew.
I don't mean for this to sound like an infomercial.
I just really love/believe in jelly rolls and layer cakes.
Can you tell by the picture above?
Where else can you find such wonderful "sweets" without a chance of a cavity??
Oh, Come on, I HAD to put that in there.
{I promise that is the last dentist pun for this entire post}

As I was saying,
I blog my creations and share tutorials to help all moms {and dads ;) } enjoy their quilting time more, the same way I do.

I can't remember if I left a comment here or not, got interrupted several times, so if there is a duplicate can you delete one? Anyway, I would say I like the layer cake!
I love Charm packs, they are affordable, offer me the whole line, for a budget-y mind like mine. Then I can play and play and play!
I like fat quarter bundles--although I'm always drooling over jelly rolls in stores, they just don't seem as cost-efficient...
I just started quilting this past summer - I'm LOVING it!! I'm so excited for this book - I'm a fan of the pre-cuts, for sure! Congratulations to you on the book!
My favorite pre-cut is layer cakes...the size is perfect! It's like having 4 charm packs and can also be cut into 2 1/2" strips. Can't wait to have my own copy of this book.

My favorite is charm packs and fat quarters. I like making wonking squares.
Cannot wait to see what project is ours!! It has to be great! What an honor to be in this book.
I am very new to quilting so I don't have a favorite precut yet. I've just started and have used a layer cake, a jelly roll and charm packs. The one thing I do know, is that all of a sudden, I am making a lot of trips to the local quilt shop and my mind just explodes with ideas each time!
I may be one of the last hold outs coming on board with the whole jelly roll, layer cake, hunny bun? thing. LOVE the big pocket-bag in right corner!
I don't have a favorite, because I'm too new at this. I make doll clothes, sometimes, though, and a FQ is just right. :)
I love jelly roll and charm packs because it really cuts down on any additional cutting of fabric. I like to combine the two in different ways! sraymer1@cox.net
Looks like a great book! Can't wait to pick it up.
Jelly rolls are my favorite because they're fun but honestly I use fat quarters the most
I like the jelly rolls cause they are so cute! My favorite to buy and work with though is the fat quarter bundles. Affordable, quite a bit of fabric, and a little bit of a lot of designs.
I love your star table topper. My favorite pre-cut is the layer cake because you can do so much with it!
Congrats on the book!
I love the fat quarter bundles....because if I LOVE the line, I must have as much as possible! LOL!!
Jelly Rolls are my number 1 favourite and not just to "collect them" kinda like your stash...i love to collect them and touch and feel! They are too pretty on my cake stand in my quilt room to use up!
I love the jelly rolls. There are such great patterns that you have come up with! taegbert@yahoo.com
My favorite precut is jelly rolls. I just think they are so sweet, all rolled up like a big fat cinnamon roll!
I haven't ever used precuts. I have a hard time cutting, but have a wonderful husband who does all of it for me. I have a charm pack and a jelly roll on my wish list for my birthday. Bonnie in Iowa
I'm pretty new to quilting - currently making my first quilt! I really like fat quarters so far, but I'm looking forward to trying other options!
I adore charm packs. i love making simple patchwork blankies.
I like fat quarters and jelly rolls.
I love layer cakes. I'm not sure why, but It seams like you can make more with them.
Looking forward to the book. Love your designs for the Bakeshop.
I haven't used pre-cuts yet :-). The book looks great! Thanks for a chance to win! shelly sal4qt at gmail dotcom
I love fat quarter bundles, plety of fabric to play with! but since they are cost prohibitive at my house Layer cakes and scrap bags are a close second. Layer cakes 'cause they can ebe cut in so make different ways and scrap bags because you never know what your gonna get!
love Moda bake shop. Congrats on the new book! It looks like it will be yummy. Are we ever disappointed with Moda???? Thank you for all your contributions gifted to us there. My favorite cut would have to be a charm pack because I'm a pinwheel sort of gal and love HST. thanks for a chance to win. Would love to see what to do with a fat eighth. Janita
I love the charm packs because they are so inexpensive. I can buy them whenever the fancy strikes me and make something pretty.
I can't wait for the book. I am new to quilting and need as much help as i can get.
I think my favorite is the layer cake because it is so versatile and big enough to be cut into any size strip or square you need. Thanks for the chance to win.
My favorite precuts are fat quarters because I like getting larger pieces of fabric to work with. Thanks for hosting such an amazing giveaway!
My favorite pre-cut is charm packs. Simply because they are more budget-friendly and easier to collect.
Oh, you have such fun projects and I'm new to your site. Thanks for the inspiration.
I love fat quarters, plenty of fabric with scraps left over.
I use fat quarters all the time. I'm getting ready to use charm packs for the first time! I would love to try a jelly roll!

I love fat quarter bundles - I think they're the most versatile, and there is lots of fabric to work with!
I love fat quarter bundles and jelly rolls. Moda is so creative with their fabric! Thanks for the party!
I like layer cakes. You get the whole package, and they look super together, and there's plenty for different projects. (And then I can still buy more of the ones I love most.)
Can't wait until the book is released! I love FQ bundles, you can then cut your own strips, or squares, or whatever other shape you want, so you can buy the fabric first without a definite project in mind :)
My favorite precut is layer cake (I also enjoy eating layer cake). The squares are a great size for making blocks, and you can cut 5 inch squares or 2-1/2 inch strips if you decide you wish you bought charm squares or a jelly roll!
I am just delving into the world of precuts. I love the concepts! So far my favorite have been charm packs I love pieceing the squares together for fun clothing for my daughter accents on projects for my kids like the tote bag tutorial I tried out from Moda
My favorite precut is layer cake (I also enjoy eating layer cake). The 10-inch size gives you enough fabric for most any type of block. Also you can cut it into 5-inch squares or 2-1/2 strips if you wish you'd bought a charm pack or jelly roll! How versatile is that!
Jelly roll or layer cake ... mostly eye candy !!!
Thanks so much for the giveaway! I'm so thankful to meet you & your blog through this book!
I love jellyrolls -- the are so versatile and they're fun to unroll! Plus, the name is so great. How can you not like something with "jelly" in the title! wirtcomm at gmail dot com
Hmm, right now my favorite pre-cut is a layer cake - I can either cut it into 4 charm packs or a few short strips. They're just so versatile!
I have just heard of the layer cakes, but they sound like my kind of cut! It is such fun discovering all these new (to me) blogs. We used to do progressive dinners at my youth group when I was a teenager. such fun.
My favorite is a FQ bundle of bliss which I bought for myself as my b-day present.
Love a FQ bundle, but I am looking forward to sewing with layer cakes, charms and jelly rolls! Thanks for the giveaway!
I love jelly rolls. I just discovered strip piecing and jelly rolls are perfect for that. I also really like layer cakes.
my favourite pre cut is a jelly roll. I used one on my first quilting project ever (your Skinny Verna) and I love them.
I love fat quarters the most. They're so versatile that you can cut them into whatever size strip or shape you need! Thanks!
My favourite Pre-cut at the moment would have to be charm packs, mostly because I am a new quilter and have been too petrified to ruin the pretty 'bigger' precuts. But I am getting there and getting there quickly! A Fat 8th pack would be awesome!
I love charm packs because they're an affordable way to get a whole line of fabric. If I could afford it I would definitely buy some fat quarter bundles!
Fat quater bundles are nice for me. thanks for the chance.
I love the moda charm pack! I'm a beginner so they make my projects simple and easy and they are very versatile.
And I have to tell you I am almost finished making a smaller version of the Chocolate Stars quilt! So thanks for the idea!!!!
Fat quarter bundles are the best. Sooo much you can do with the coordinating fabric and the extra when you are done with a project.
tami.cam@hotmail.com
at the moment the charm pack is my favorite pre-cut! It makes for an easy way to make a vintage baby quilt!
I have only used charm square pre-cuts so I can't really say what my favorite kind is. I enjoyed browsing your blog. Congratulations on the new book coming in the spring.
Beverly in WA state
I love the Fat Quarter packs because there's always leftovers!! : )
I love jelly rolls because they don't cost a fortune and force you to sew scrappy quilts. They have always the right size for litle projects like book covers, purses and little bags, not to forget mug rugs.
And I love Log Cabin quilts.
I love the look of jelly rolls and layer cakes. I think layer cakes are my favourite. I am new to quilting so the precuts suit me and they are very adaptable to projects both big and small (at the moment mine are small lol)
My favorite precut is the charm pack (or jelly roll - I can't decide) They both open up a world of possibilities. Can't wait to see the book!!!
