I've been kind of quiet in terms of blogging.
I have been sewing.
Pinky swear.
Actually, I have been getting a little 'crazy' lately.
I was inspired by the EZ Quilting Simply Crazy Ruler to make this pillow.
I took out my stash of orange, black and Halloween fabrics and went to work.
I decided that plain black in the center wasn't going to cut it so I drew a pumpkin
and stitched it with size 8 pearl cotton.
I used the same size 8 pearl cotton for the 'quilting'.
I love the big stitch pearl cotton look on this pillow.
I am thinking that this ruler would make a great tutorial or inspiration for a new project.
Do any of you have this ruler in 'stash'?
Just curious if you have it and if you made a project with it.
I kind of like it because it helps me with the 'wonky' look that I tend to shy away from.

Ok, I need this ruler. I love your project. I keeping moving my halloween fabrics around my sewing room. I can't settle on a pattern to use them with. This ruler might just be it!! Thanks for the inspiration.
Hugs, Jean
I like! I just bought that ruler yesterday.
What a fantastic pillow - I love the colors and the block pattern! New rulers scare me but I'd love a tutorial on how to use it!
Absolutely adorable! Great idea to add the pumpkin!
Hey Vickie,
Your pillow looks great. I love that "wonky" look too. Okay, I guess I'm a little ashamed to admit it but it isn't intuitively obvious to me how the ruler works. You up for a little show and tell? Because I sure do love the end result.
I can see where you would lay the ruler down to get the "wonky" shape, but how do you get it all squared up again to turn it into a pillow top or quilt block?
That's probably a silly question, but I love the pillow so I'm going to ask anyway. :-)
Sew cute! Great job.
Vickie, it looks great! Such inspiratin.
Don't have the ruler but your pillow is just too darn cute!
Such a cute pillow! And great idea with the stitching in the middle and crazy patchwork!
Hugs,
Tatyana
