I made some bindings so that I can sew them onto quilts this weekend and prepare hand work to do while I am off the next 2 weeks.
Actually, I am off work for 11 days.
How did I manage that?
I am having surgery again.
This is the last one this year....I hope.
At any rate, I am preparing handwork and english paper piecing to keep me busy.
My mom is coming too which should be a BIG help.
I read your post and it is almost exactly what I could write today! I'm having surgery on Monday for my shoulder and am hoping to work on my first applique project and finish the binding on two quilts.
ReplyDeleteHope your surgery goes well.
Blessings,
Darlene
hope all goes well and that you won't be in too much pain so that you can do your sewing!

You are wise to prepare ahead. hugs and prayers for a successful surgery and quick pain-free healing.
ReplyDeleteSending good wishes your way!
ReplyDeleteGood luck with your surgery! I hope you can enjoy your time off even though surgery is not ideal :)
ReplyDeleteI love to do my bindings first, as then I can look at the colors as I'm making the top and think about the day the quilt is finally done.
ReplyDeleteTake care of you!
Good luck with the surgery, and have fun with those hand projects - I actually enjoy the binding part of quiltmaking, do you? Have never tried English paper piecing... scared to actually -- I always love the new things I try and then I have yet another crafty thing to "get into" - ha!
ReplyDeleteSending you all well wishes and best of luck with your surgery!
