And finally after finishing the 2 bindings I continued to hand quilt

this table topper I started about a year ago.

I finished the quilting and started the knife edge binding

but I didn't get that finished yet...

I am hoping it will be sunny enough to take pictures tomorrow of the full projects.

and

I am hoping this week will be a week of more finishes and other fun stuff.

As soon as I spotted these on Amazon,

they were on my wish list.

I absolutely love the pictures.

There are crisp images...and I keep thinking I might frame a few for my bathroom.

well they are all my favorite.

btw, I am finishing a binding one ANOTHER quilt.

I can't wait to show this to you.

Sorting through my old Barbies

I found some cross stitch pillows that I made when I was probably 14 years old! The largest is about 2" x 2".

I made all sorts of decor for my dolls.

And check out these dolls....

circa 1980's

vintage.

I even bought furniture on clearance in case I had a little girl someday.

My 11 year old loves them.

These dolls were my mother's. I can not remember the name of them but they are about 50 years old. I did not give these to my girls. They are pretty important to me due to their age.

I'm a little late to blog about this.

I actually completely forgot.

My office has been overly busy compared to what I'm used to

 and on top of that there have been some changes I haven't been prepared for.

Perhaps some of you know what I mean.

My challenge is my nearly 11 year old.

I haven't been emotionally dealing with the fact that she's growing up.

Like wanting to shave EVERYTHING, removing even the hair on her face!

or the hormone changes---- heck I can barely deal with my own.

So I have been under that drama...needless to say I forgot to blog this.

This being my Ring Toss quilt that was published in Spring 2012 Quilts and More magazine!

 I LOVE this quilt.

LOVE it.

I love all my quilts....but this one is soo... well Sweetwater...

I am a HUGE fan of Sweetwater.

I have bought everyone of their fabric lines in some form, fat quarters, charms, jelly rolls and yardage.

I should have a Sweetwater room.

seriously.

I am off to do some 'house' stuff....get breakfast going and maybe sew a binding today,

wish me a relaxing day without drama, please :)

I am totally thinking gifts for friends, family and my daughters' hope chest.

There are atleast 24 patterns for different designs and the instructions are very clear.

Here is the second cool book I have to show you this week.

Put Some Charm in your Quilts

by Connie Kauffman.

This book is lovely.

There's is a trend toward pre-cut fabrics as you all know.

 This book's designs call for charms and they work perfectly in these quilts.

This one is my favorite.

I have a bundle of this Moda fabric that I haven't used much of...

so I could make this...wow my list of quilts is growing.

Have you seen this new book?

I was asked by DRG to review a few quilt books for them this week.

I've done this once before and I was really interested in these.

I will be giving away a couple of the books this week.

The first one up this week is Bed Runners &More.

It includes 9 patterns for bed runners and six pillow sham styles.

Overall there are projects for a beginner all the way to advanced.

There are step-by-step instructions and color photos of each design. 

My favorite project is the patriotic runner.

I can totally see myself making this....

I'm always searching for seasonal or holiday patterns that can be used year round.

You know IF I forget to put that season away LOL.
