1974...a good year.

As I mentioned in a few blog posts, I finished 4 projects on our road trip.
This quilt is the biggy.
I have had it quilted for over a year now and 'going' to bind it,
but never got around to it.
Well finally I finished it.
AND it was a beautiful, but windy, day and well enough for a quick picture.
I am enamored with this fabric line.
It's 1974 by Urban Chicks for Moda.
The pattern I used is from the book Strip On!
by G.E. Designs.
I added the borders but the general idea was from her book.

  1. Great finish...I love that line, too...so much so that I have been hoarding it for years...one of these days I will start a quilt with it!

  2. Love it!! I have one charm pack and a small bit of yardage of 1974. I haven't decided what to do with it and since I only have one charm pack, probably won't be much. I should bust it out.

  3. Love it and somewhere I have this book - must find it -- thanks for the inspiration. I think this would be a great way to use some of my new Flea Market Fancy.

  5. WOW - I really, really like this one. I'm not sure if it's the pattern or your choice of fabric/color placement that is so pleasing to the eye. No matter what it is - YOU did a great job with this quilt - I really like it!
